Jason Rawles
"A book is more than words on a page; it’s a compass for the chapters of our lives that haven't been written yet."
Jason Rawles is an author, storyteller, and Mountain Guide for the Mind based in North Wales. From the gritty reality of the "bin man" to the high-stakes pressure of the corporate boardroom, Jason’s life has been a series of unconventional ascents and challenging descents. Today, he uses his lived experience and his recent background in psychology to help others navigate their own professional and personal "whiteouts."
Writing from the Trenches of Resilience
Jason’s journey as an author took a pivotal turn in early 2024. Having built a successful career in the adventure industry, he faced a period of profound adversity - marked by a public business closure and a significant mental health challenge. Rather than retreating, Jason chose radical transparency.
He began writing not just to tell stories, but to provide a framework for rebuilding. His books and journals are born from the belief that accountability and action are the only true paths to transformation. Through his work, Jason pulls back the curtain on "life after the storm," proving that our lowest points can become the firmest foundations for our greatest work.
Action Over Awareness
As a "wellbeing warrior," Jason’s philosophy is simple: awareness is only the starting point; action is where change happens. His collection of personal development books and adventure journals are designed as practical tools. They combine the survival discipline of the mountains with the cognitive insights of psychology to help readers level up their mental and physical health.
Beyond the Page
When he isn't writing, Jason is a Resilience Coach and Business Mentor. He lives in the shadows of Eryri (Snowdonia), where he finds sanctuary in the landscape that serves as his greatest classroom. Whether through a keynote speech, a coaching session, or a published journal, Jason’s mission remains the same: to inspire a generation to live better, feel stronger, and thrive unapologetically.
“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or book long enough to suit me”
